• Family Getaway

Camden Nook is an absolutely lovely place for a family vacation. We stayed with our extended family and 3 young children and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is well appointed and daily housekeeping ensures lots of relaxation! The beach is beautiful with soft white sand and calm water – perfect for young children.

We look forward to staying at Camden Nook again!!!

  • Excellent Experience

This was my second visit to beautiful Barbados and the first with my family. This house has a great location on the beach, half-way between Holetown and Speightstown, and a few doors adjacent to John Moore’s Bar, a popular watering hole. Try their rum punch (as well as Rosemary’s), you will not be disappointed with either !! The house is a good size for one family, and is modern and well appointed, with air conditioning in the three bedrooms, fans throughout, and a lovely back patio for dining and relaxing. The west coast beach is very calm, and good for snorkeling. Our kids loved it.

The owner, Nick, and the manager, Andrew, were very responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and our stay. The maid, Rosemary, is efficient and friendly. She works hard to keep the house clean, and is an excellent cook. There is a lot of fine dining available within a short drive, but we mostly enjoyed shopping for our own groceries and fish, and having Rosemary plan and prepare several meals for us, at some additional charge that we established in advance. Other Barbados highlights: the main fish markets (Bridgetown and Speightstown), St Nicholas Abbey, Crane Beach, Sandy Lane golf, snorkel with Turtles off a glass-bottom boat in Paynes Bay, and the Garrison museum and George Washington’s house.

There is also a convenient bus route on the street. Looking back, this was one of the best family vacations ever, we miss Barbados and can’t wait to return !

  • Camden Nook

We had a wonderful time at the villa. The beach is calm and wonderful for kids.

There is wonderful local culture right at the beach with fishermen hauling their fresh catch of the day. Andrew, the manager, was a gracious host and always available to answer any questions. Rosemary cleaned up beautifully and was very friendly with us and the children. The wifi at the house was a great bonus and so was the magic jack!

Please do bring mosquito repellent if you don’t like the AC on in your rooms!

  • “Perfect, perfect, perfect…”

We stayed here for our honeymoon and could not have asked for more. A beautiful villa, superbly maintained, in a wonderful location. We were very impressed with Andrew the property manager, but special mention must go to Rosemary the housekeeper who was an absolute gem. And her Rum Punch has to be one of our highlights!!

The villa is just perfect and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay but sitting on the decking listening to the waves as the sun went down was amazing. To be able to walk directly onto the beach from the villa is soooo cool and to wander just a few minutes down the beach and be able to grab a beer was great. The villa is very private and very few people used the beach in front of us so we felt like we were in our own little piece of Heaven.

We can’t wait to go back!!

Thanks Nick, Celia, Andrew and Rosemary – we had the best time!!

  • “We stayed at this beachfront villa and the stay was purely relaxing. Lovely private corner of reeds bay.”

We stayed at this beautiful beach front villa on reeds bay. And the stay was pure relaxation. Lovely private corner of reeds bay. Great bajan food cooked by the housekeeper rosemary for lunch and rosemarys rum punch was knock out. Could not believe we were 1 minutes walk from a great fresh market so fresh blue marlin, tuna and mahi mahi every day for lunch. Villa is spacious and has great views of the sea. Managed to surf tropicana reef on one day which was great.

The villa is close to some of the top restaurants in the world, we visited the lone star which can be seen in the distance from the villa, amazing location and food and we also went to the cliff, again amazing food. Holestown is close by and has good nightly entertainment.

Many thanks to nick and celia for letting us use your beautiful home.

Would love to return one day.

Kind regards John, Adam and Charlotte Gassor from Coventry Warwickshire. England.
